Why I’m here

I spent years working in high fashion houses before turning to research. Now I’m doing a doctorate in fashion studies. My dissertation only covers a small fragment of what fascinates me.

This is me writing about how clothes shape the way I and you see the world, the real story is about the it factor, that electric high we chase through new clothes. Fashion used to build worlds around that feeling. Now the system runs on fast, diluted versions of the same thrill. Here, I’m trying to slow down and look more closely.
